棲鳳林位于北門商業(yè)街對面，是一片保存完好的原始生態(tài)林。其形態(tài)從空中俯瞰如展翅飛翔的鳳凰。鳳，是中華文明標(biāo)志性圖騰之一，也是楚文化的主要象征，楚人尚鳳。湖北經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院?；铡膀v飛的經(jīng)院”也如一只展翅飛翔的鳳凰，寓意經(jīng)院騰龍棲鳳，培育良才。?；张c鳳文化相呼應(yīng)，增添了校園的自然美感和文化內(nèi)涵。
Facing the North Gate Commercial Street, Qifeng (meaning phoenix resting) Forest is a well-preserved area of original ecology. Viewed from above, the trees resemble a phoenix in flight, symbolizing the spirit of soaring ambitions and dreams, while echoing the school's emblem and cultural heritage.
