經(jīng)世柱位于湖北經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院東大門，是學(xué)校標(biāo)志性建筑之一，由四根形象柱組成，象征校訓(xùn)“厚德、博學(xué)、經(jīng)世、濟(jì)民”，代表學(xué)校培養(yǎng)兼具道德修養(yǎng)、廣博知識和社會服務(wù)能力的人才。形象柱設(shè)計簡約大氣，象征學(xué)校精神文化的傳承與發(fā)揚(yáng)，體現(xiàn)出堅韌不拔、屹立不倒的精神。柱間的空隙象征教育的廣闊天地，鼓勵學(xué)子在知識的海洋中探索和超越。
As a symbol of the University, The Jingshi (meaning statecraft) Pillar stands proudly at the eastern gate of the university. It is comprised of four majestic columns which represent the school motto: Virtue, Erudition, Statecraft, and Benefiting the People. These pillars encapsulate the university's mission to nurture talents imbued with moral fortitude, vast knowledge, and a spirit of service. Designed with elegance, the columns reflect the enduring legacy of the school's cultural ethos, embodying resilience and steadfastness. The spaces between the pillars symbolize the vast horizons of education, encouraging students to explore and transcend the oceans of knowledge.
